1st Day back in Bay Area

I arrived yesterday night at SFO. Flight was long but OK. The view from the airplane to the Bay Area is always amazing.

I took the bart to get out of the Airport. The Bart is the cheapest way to get to the city.

First day in the Bay Area started with sun shine. Good morning California 🙂

At first I went to the Apple Shop in SF to check out the new iPad mini. Yes! It is cool. Very light and easy to use. I like it more than the regular iPad.

Than I had a veggie Phily Sandwich in the Westfield Mall. It looks like meat and it tastes like meat but it is not. There is a lot of good vegetarian food in SF.

And I went to Epicenter Cafe. This is one of the most famous Start-Up and Hacker Spaces in town. They have a very good free WiFi and good coffee.

In the afternoon I visited my friend Bodhi at Getaround. Getaround is a cool San Francisco based Start-Up. It is the Airbnb for cars. Since 7 months they are in a new office. This is how it looks like.

They are sitting all in one big room. Dev. Team, Marketing & Management. It is a very open culture. And they have a very cool roof top with a good view about the city.

In the evening we went out to a pub in Oakland Rockridge. There was election day and the pub was full with people.

Everybody was looking to the TV.

It was very close for Obama. But in the pub everybody was pro Obama. With fish and chips and Pale Ale we waited for the final results.

According to CNN Projection Obama would be re-elected. And after 2 hours waiting we know it for sure. Obama is re-elected president on the USA! Big Party in California 🙂
