Yesterday I went to the Weihnachtsmarkt in Mannheim. The German Weihnachtsmarkt is pretty famous. People from Great Britain and other european countries are coming over to Germany in December only to visit a Weihnachtsmarkt.
Weihnachtsmarkt is all about Glühwein. Hot red wine with cinnamon. And if you want you can have it with an extra shot Rum 😀 They have always very funny mugs for that.

The market is always pretty crowded, but that’s OK. It’s much nicer if there is a lot of snow. But without snow it’s fine, too.
And after a couple Glühwein you get hungry. Than you have to eat something. For example something from this small grill.
And don’t forget to eat Möhrenköpfe / Schokokuss!
Another German speciality.
Unfortunately Weihnachtsmarkt is over now. I am looking forward to the next one in 2013.
